Erectile Dysfunction (ED) (or according to the new classification, DSM-5, erectile dysfunction) is a disorder in which a man can not achieve or maintain erection until the end of sexual activity for six months in most sexual activities in which he participated.

It is a physiological process that is of crucial importance to the normal reproductive role of a man. Erectile dysfunction increases and strengthens the male limb, which is necessary for penetration. It is caused by sexual excitement or stimulation, but sometimes it can come from any sexual context.

Erection is the strengthening of the male sex limb, which occurs during sexual excitement. The process consists of the following steps – the arteries of the penis relax and spread, which causes more blood to come into the penis. As the arteries of the penis are widened and tightened, they pressurize the veins that otherwise lead to blood, which is why blood is retained in the penis. More and more blood comes to the penis, and gets smaller and smaller, making it possible for an erection to grow stronger.
